I've sorted this out now - the Travelodge at Capel St. Mary will do the job. The Ipswich-Orwell Holiday Inn turned out to be another possibility, but that is considerably more expensive.

Have found Henry`s Lake, Rattlesden, south of Bury St Edmonds. It is 30 miles approx from Holbrook. I am also doing the Shotley 50 and may consider them.

Does anyone know of any accommodation (b&b, not-too-expensive hotel or campsite that takes tents) suitable for a night either side of the Shotley Peninusla 50 (which starts from Holbrook in Suffolk on 10th September)? I'd prefer something other than the bunkhouse/hostel options, but initial googling hasn't turned up anything in the locality.
