A different type of walk through some of our industrial heritage. OK it's not the Lake District but you do get the canals, ducklings and even 4 herons! The organisers were enthusiastic and it must be a good idea to run "urban" events like this to help attract those who are not aware how wonderful long distance walking is. I would suggest a shorter route to the 16 and 26 - say 6-8 ish - to encourage families new to activity like this.

Not a classic but a good day out.
