Start at Ghyll Head Outdoor Education Centre, LA23 3LN. Around a dozen East Lancs members are staying there this week, but everyone is invited to join us for the walk. Approach via the A592 Newby Bridge to Bowness road, turning at the red post box & the sign to "Ghyll Head" & “Cartmel Fell - Fell Road Only” Don't use the back roads that satnav might say, as they are difficult & include a deep ford. Once in the c.p go past the main building & over to the far left, we will be in the annexe

2,400 ft ascent, mixed terrain with some lane walking. Please bring a head-torch or torch & something reflective, as we may finish by walking back along lanes after dark
