A linear walk from Long Eaton station, out to Trent Lock, where the Erewash Canal joins the River Trent. A short out and back along the Cranfleet Cut to Nottingham Yacht Club, before heading along the full length of the Erewash Canal, via Ilkeston, to Langley Mill Basin, where the Erewash Canal historically met the Cromford and Nottingham Canals.
Return by train from Langley Mill to Long Eaton (changing at Nottingham - £8.40 single). Option to bail out at Ilkeston station
