Ashurst Beacon descending to Whalleys, Tawd Valley Park, and out to Lathom and Westhead before a break at Ruff Wood, 8.5 mile, From there along Lady's Walk, around Burscough Abbey remains, and out to the Leeds Liverpool canal and on to Burscough Wharf, 13.5 milles, where we'll break for lunch with options. After lunch an easy 3.5 mile walk along the canal to Newburgh before our ascent back to the golf club via Dalton Lees
