(The front of Longbridge train station, B31 2TW. Shopping centre car park nearby is open 24/7 and costs £6 for up to 24 hours.
Buses from Birmingham city centre: 47 (stops opposite the station) and 63 (stops close by on Bristol Rd), both run in time for the start of the walk.
A varied route around the city itself and the surrounding countryside, taking in the Waseley and Lickey Hills, Hob Hill, Earlswood Lakes, River Blythe, Grand Union Canal, River Cole and Rea Valley Route)
General Notes
There will be one pub meal stop roughly halfway round. Some shops may be passed, but may not necessarily be during their opening hours so participants should plan on bringing all the food they will need either side of the pub stop. The route also passes several stations, so anyone unable to complete the full distance will have the option of dropping out
