(Start 10.00 by the pay and display car park located on the Pennine Bridleway road in Stainforth, North Yorks. SD822673. Nearest postcode BD24 9PE.
The route goes across farmland and marshland approaching the summit of Pen-y-Ghent from the south. There is a short steep scramble onto the actual summit. The route then follows The Pennine Way into Horton in Ribblesdale where it picks up the River Ribble through to Helwith Bridge. There then follows a short section along a very quiet lane to Little Stainforth past Stainforth Falls and back to the start point.)
