The old Beacon Bash will be in two parts, an 11 and a 12 miler. Part 1. 5th July. Beacon Bish (No Beacon today just a windmill) Can be muddy in places. Plenty of ups and downs with a few stiles and gates. Dogs welcome. No need to book. 10am Start Free Car Park, Bramble Lane Parbold WN8 7HZ. SD496104. No Facilities. We head out along the Leeds Liverpool canal towards Apply Bridge crossing the canal to head up Parbold Hill (great views over Lancashire plains). From there we cross the busy A5209 to High Moor before about turning to head back down to Parbold then back up passed a disused quarry to Hunters Hill (more great views). We then make our way up Harrick Hill passed the old windmill before zig zagging down to and through Fairy Glen to Apply Bridge and back along the canal to the start
