NORFOLK AND SUFFOLK LDWA PAST AND PRESENT PRIMARY MEMBERS ONLY. Norfolk & Suffolk LDWA will be marking 50 years of LDWA in 2022. To mark this big occasion, we will be holding a special social group walk to be followed by a 3.5hr afternoon River Boat trip from Ipswich Quay

Included will be close up views of Ipswich Docks, Harwich Harbour and Felixstowe Port, before returning back under the formidable Orwell bridge and through the lock gates into Ipswich Mariner Basin. There will also be a commentary from the crew about the river and places we will see. The group have chartered The Orwell Lady for this special occasion and will be heavily subsidising this trip. The Orwell lady accommodates 65 people comfortably under cover, but will take more if needed. There are toilet facilities and a bar serving hot & cold drinks.
The morning walk will start at 9.30am, from Suffolk Food Hall. Please park at he rear overflow car park next to the pilates centre. Please arrive after 9am for a 9.30am start time, not before as the Food hall does not open officerly untill 10am and the gates might be shut before 9am. On return they would expect us to purchase some refreshments even if it's just drinks. The walk is approximately 8-9mls along the river to Pin Mill and returning over the fields to the Food hall. The boat trip will be departing Orwell Quay 1400hrs and returning 1730hrs. We will be requiring people to prebook this trip. This is very much a flexible event, You can join us for all day or just for the boat trip, whatever you decide we will be pleased to see you.
