A walk crossing Halifax including various parks and woods, a workers' village, alms houses built by victorian mill owners, some impressive Victorian mill buildings and civic buildings in the centre such as the Piece Hall, Market Hall, Town Hall and the MInster, with a 'Gentleman Jack' loop to include Shibden Hall (Ann Lister's home) and Beacon Hill; ending with a walk along the Hebble Valley and the remains of an old canal that helped create all the wealth that built Halifax from the 1830s
