Park in lay-by, Clayton Hall Drive, Clayton-le-Moors, BB5 5SF. This is a low-level walk at a brisk pace, walkers can complete one loop or two. We will set off on footpaths to Altham to join the Padiham Greenway (old railway track of the East Lancs Padiham Loop Line) to Padiham Junction. From here we walk the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and return to the starting point after completing 12 miles. At this point, walkers can chose to return to their cars or commence the second 6 mile loop

The walk continues west along the Hyndburn Greenway (Great Harwood Loop of disused East Lancs railway) to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at Rishton and onto footpaths back to Clayton-le-Moors via Tottleworth
