From Braithwaite Victoria Memorial Hall, Braithwaite, Keswick

The Derwentwater Dawdle is a challenging 23 mile(ish) routes that takes in three tough ascents totalling 4300ft (over 4,300 on long route) as you complete a full circuit of Derwentwater via Cat Bells, Seatoller, Rosthwaite, Dock Tarn, Watendlath, Ashness Bridge and Walla Crag. An optional climb to the viewpoint at Castlehead is also offered

General Notes
Please note we will have a mandatory kit list of: full body waterproof cover, emergency food, minimum 500ml of fluid 500kcal of emergency food, survival bag/emergency blanket, whistle, head-torch, map & compass (and know how to use them) as this a self navigated route. Please also bring a reusable cup. Please note that mobile telephone coverage in this area is notoriously poor, but we have cover from Raynet, ensuring participants safety. A professional photographer will be covering the event and their pictures will be shared free after the event

Entry: from £25 (no entries OTD) includes a full detailed route description, well stocked Cps featuring a selection of sweet and savoury food, with hot and cold drinks at Cp1 & cold drinks at Cp2. You also receive a cooked hot meal at the end & all finishers will receive a bespoke medal
