Competitor Rules for Smugglers Trod Events

1. Report to Fylingdales Village Hall between 6:30am and 7:30am on the day of the walk for registration.
2. Will wear or carry: waterproofs, mug, whistle, compass, first aid kit, N. Y. Moors O.S. 1:25 Map 27. Supply own mug at the Village Hall. NO MUG, NO DRINK policy
3. All checkpoints must be visited as listed on the route description
4. Failure to keep to the designated and marked footpaths will result in disqualification
5. No dogs
6. Retire only at roadside checkpoints and hand in tally. No tally tells us that you are still out there!
7. Also can be retired at any time during the walk at the discretion of the marshals
8. Any competitor reaching Middlewood Farm after 5:30pm will be diverted along the railway line directly to the finish.

The organisers retain the right to alter the rules and route.

ENTRY FEE for all is £15.00 prior to online entry closing at 23:59 on Tuesday 20th August 2024, or £20.00 on the day if places are still available. Please pay by bank transfer (preferred) or by cheque made payable to Yorkshire Coast Group. Further details of how to pay will be emailed to you after you have submitted this form.

Please do not park outside the Village Hall. There is free parking available in a field near Middlewood Farm which is signposted. If this is full, there is limited space in the Pay and Display Car Park adjacent to the Village Hall.
