Good news: FROM JULY 19TH OUR EXTRA WALKS PAPERWORK CAN BE DROPPED!
We have the very welcome news that we can run Social and Challenge walks without the need to carry out Covid risk assessments.
Here's hoping that leaders, new and old, will now be happy to come forward to help us back to being the cheerful, busy group of friends we always were!
You can find the NEC's message for those who want to read it, on the LDWA website under latest news. It essentially says that we can follow government guidelines with no compulsory additions. Your committee finds this very sensible.
A register of walkers on the day is still required for insurance purposes, but that's easy. There's no need for walkers to pre-register for walks, just turn up, and no need for leaders to do that admin.
