Its is all change next year (almost!) for the organising sub-commitee for the Oxon challenge walk, which next year will be based at Stokenchurch on 29th April 2023. We thank Huw Davies who is stepping down as Overall Coordinator and Gill Scott who ends her role as Marshals Coordinator. I am stepping down also as RouteMaster to concentrate on my Secretary role. To date the sub-committee for 2023 is Andrew Beck (Overall Oxon 40 Coordinator) , David Norbury (Route Master), Trish Jacobs (Catering Lead) and Anushka Howell (Logistics). Thanks to all of these for volunteering. We still have two roles to fill and are looking for volunteers for these.

Car park coordinator : Job Description
Be the prime contact point with the car park providing organisations. This is a critical role that controls how many entries we can safely take for the event. 2. Be available to meet the representatives of the car park providing organisations during normal business hours. 3. Ideally be located close to Stokenchurch to ease meetings and coordinating with car park providing organisations. 4. Coordinate with the Event Lead on car park issues.
Actions to be perform on Event day. 1. Meet with car park providing organisations representatives to open each car park at the agreed time. 2. Meet with car park providing organisations representatives to close each car park at the agreed time.
Marshals coordinator : Job Description
Actively engage with all members to gain commitments for volunteers to support the Event. It would help therefore if you are a regular walker. 2. Collect preferences for volunteer roles and availability times. 3. Coordinate with Event lead to make sure all volunteer roles are filled for the appropriate required times.
