Haslemere Station. Trains from London and Guildford arrive at 10.56 and 11.21. Trains from Portsmouth arrive at 11.14 and 11.30. If you are coming by car be aware that car parking in Haslemere is expensive. The most cost-effective is probably Weydown Road car park close to the station, which is at 6 pounds for all day. There is likely to be plenty of space. Alternatively, you might want to try your luck at on-street parking in Weydown Road or Derby Road

This is a shorter walk that follows the tail end of the Serpent Trail from Haslemere, almost entirely off-road through National Trust land with some beautiful views over the West Sussex countryside.
Our route will take first of all, to Haslemere High Street where we have a choice of lunch venues. The recommendation is for the Courtyard Cafe in Stable Yard (GU27 2HW). Thereafter, we will walk down through Swan Barn Farm and up over Blackdown. We will stop for tea at the Temple of the Winds (SU 920 292). At that point, depending on what the group would like to do, we will either make our way off-road back to Haslemere or continue on the Serpent Trail to Valewood and Marley Common.

This is a short, relaxed walk for members only with a protracted lunch designed for long-standing members who no longer walk with us on a regular basis. We would not expect those outside this category to join this particular walk
