Katy dutifully ordered extra loaves [no fishes at this gathering ] anticipating lots of hungry S.P.disciples.  WRONG!!!!.
The regular 4 plus new recruit Sharon made up the group for the day.  Even a free breakfast can't tempt people out.

Anyway the walk.
Stuffed to the gills with all that tea and toast, crossing the busy A6 was a risky business.  Soon we were on good paths
skirting Dove Holes heading over to Combs. Up and over Combs Head, the White Hall Outdoor Pursuits Centre headed
the path down to our first stop overlooking Errwood reservoir,in the Goyt Valley.

After a brief stop we were zigzagging our way through the woods round Bunsal Cob to the start of our climb out of the valley.
Running parallel to Shining Tor, we were soon on our way down a boulder strewn path back into the valley bottom. After a long
climb back out again, via Berry Clough we crossed the Cat and Fiddle road to join the Dane Valley Way.A brief climb took
us to our lunch stop at Solomon's Temple, a Bronze -Age burial site.

Picked to the bones, lunch finished, we quickly reached our massive decent into Deep Dale.  An earlier drop of rain made the
limestone rock treacherous. Turning left into Wye Dale we had to run the gauntlet of speeding motorists on the pathless main road
to our exit track 100m away into Woo Dale. A quick stop to use up supplies saw us on our way home through Peak Dale, edging
the fields back to the A6.  Tea and Toast, long digested, the A6 was sprightly crossed.

Thanks to Ian,Norman,Pete and Sharon for their company.
