2013 11 30 Plane Crazy

Our walk got off to a bad start because our leader ----me--- arrived late, only a couple of minutes late honestly.  Anyway, we set off 9 in number including friends Jackie, Duncan, Steve and his lady Bess (a spaniel).  Our route was Poynton Coppice, Woodford Aerodrome, Bollin Valley Way, Quarry Bank Mill, StyalWoods, Manchester Airport and on our return journey Handforth where we passed The Mermaid a local  hostelry (a form of torture for Neil).

All pilots earned ACE status covering the 22miles in less than 7hours with no crash landings.  Helen was pleased to have completed  a BRISK walk and is looking forward to the next ie. Haigh There 5th December.

Thanks to all for a good days walking in muddy conditions but mainly fine weather.

Cheers, Norman.
