Route

Alston. Parking and the start of the walk at the Alston Recreation Ground car park, at the top end of the town, beginning of the Nenthead Road, nearest post code CA9 3SW. Leader - Julie Carolan

From Alston head east to Blagill then Nenthead using Isaacs Tea Trail. Then south then west through Ashgill Wood and back along the river South Tyne into Garrigill. Then NW on Pennine Way return to Alston. All of this walk being in the western, Cumbrian part of the North Pennines AONB. All on Map OS Explorer OL31, North Pennines
