Christmas Walk & Lunch - Sunday 12th December 2021

The walk will start at 9am from the Swinsty Reservoir Car Park.  An approximate 10 mile circular route at a strictly sociable pace.

Lunch will be at 2pm at
Millstones Restaurant on the A59 Skipton Road outside Harrogate (HG3 2LT).  There should be ample time to drive from Swinsty to the restaurant (and change there if needed).

The Millstones Restaurant is a carvery offering a choice of dishes - no menu pre-selection required.

Main course: £12.95
Desserts: £5.95

You are welcome to join us on either the walk or the lunch - or both of course!

We need to know numbers for lunch in advance so please contact Caroline Wandless at:
treasurer.northyorkshire@ldwa.org.uk

About Us

Welcome to the website of the North Yorkshire group of the LDWA.

We are a friendly bunch who gather at least twice a month to tramp over the moors, dawdle in the dales or even cruise the coast from time to time.

Our emphasis is on sociable walks and our enterprising walk leaders aim to cover the diversity of Yorkshire's scenery often using little-known paths.

Why not give us a try.

Anyone from outside the LDWA is very welcome to join us on any of our social walks that might take your fancy, but if you like us enough to come out with us regularly, you will need to join the LDWA

If you fancy having a go at leading a walk, we'd love to hear from you. Contact the Walks Secretary Lynn Hathaway.
