Graham Smith and Jenni Coelho are planning a trip to Caithness to ascend Morven (706m), which is the very prominent cone shaped mountain visible for miles across the Moray Firth. There is a steep but very straightforward ascent to the summit on heather and scree, and the whole walk should take 3-5 hrs
General Notes
Take the A9 north to Dunbeath and then the single-track road westwards to the parking area near the phone box at Braemore. Please contact Graham or Jenni to book. Car sharing essential as there is limited parking space at start
