August 2023 Update
Welcome to the August Walks Update.
Well done to all that turned out to the Summer Poppy, it was a bit wet! We forgot to order in the sunshine but everybody still seemed to enjoy it. A quick reminder that it’s the Group Summer BBQ and Social Walk on the 20th August kindly hosted by Martin and Fran at their farm in Brampton. Please make sure you contact Martin if you would like to attend (for catering purposes). This is an excellent opportunity to catch up with everybody following a quiet couple of months. Please come along if you can!

Figure of eight walk 12 miles in the morning to lunch stop followed by 6 Miles in the afternoon. BBQ around 4.00pm

Challenge Event - 26 or 18ml. in 9 hours - finish by 5pm. Location: Walberswick Village Hall, Ferry Road, Walberswick, IP18 6TZ. Car parking available in nearby pay and display car park (GR TM498746). A scenic route on the Suffolk coast and inland on heathland footpaths around Minsmere and Dunwich.

Group Walk - 18ml. 9:00 Ship Lane carpark (off Broad Street), Ely, CB7 4BB Expl map 226. (GR TL544799). On leaving the carpark we head along the riverside path, then cross country to loop back towards Ely. We pick up Fen Rivers Way for a short time before heading towards Little Thetford and then Witchford.
