Dear all

I hope you have been able to get out walking and enjoyed the sunny spring (slightly cold at times) weather. It is good to finally have social walks back up and running, even with restricted numbers for the time being.

This Sunday (9th)  Simon is leading his wonderful 27-mile Rodent Wriggle, taking in 9 churches along the way. There are a few spaces left for anyone who would like to join, but be prepared as he plans to get a wriggle on.

Other walks with availability are:

Sunday 16th May - Kingsfleet & Kirton Marshes

17 miles starting from Newbourne Village Hall Carpark at 9am

Leader Carol & Steve Williams-

Sunday 23rd May - Diss Meander

AGM reminder – On Saturday 26th June we are holding our AGM at Ashes Farm, Mendlesham with a 12-mile walk followed by refreshments. There will then be a tractor and trailer ride with a talk by Simon Colchester about the farm, landscape and history.

Walks are slowly filling up the calendar, but if you would like to try leading a walk please contact me or our walks secretary, Jane Audsley -   Experienced and new walk leaders welcome.

Virtual Events

The Anytime Daffodil Dawdle is still available to enter, entries close on 30th June on Sientries-

The Virtual-Y 100 Sir Fynwy is still also available to enter, entries close on 15th May  100 miles must be completed within 48hours anytime between midnight Friday 28th May and Monday 31st May. If you have not planned this it might be a bit late to start considering it, but if you have been waiting until the last minute to enter there is still time! Norfolk & Suffolk has its fair share of entrants, and our Chair, Julian, completed his first 100 on the ‘marshals’ 100 last weekend.

We look forward to listing more walks soon as things hopefully return to some sort of normality.

Happy Walking
