Welcome and FAQ

Welcome to Norfolk and Suffolk LDWA.

We're a welcoming and accessible group and we're always keen to welcome new members. The LDWA offer social walks, challenge walks and we also have lots of information about LDPs so you can go on your own adventure on these! We also have numerous trips away walking and they involve lots of pubs and history.

We list our walks on this web-site and if you're new, just let the walk leader know that you'd like to come along to find out more. Our walks are usually 18 miles or longer in length, so please be confident that you're able to do that distance. But, do feel free to ask the walk leader for help in advance, and we'll see what we can do.

On the walk, please bring sufficient water and remaining hydrated is important. Bring snacks and lunch, whatever you fancy is absolutely fine. Go decadent and bring twelve Mars bars, or just have some fruit, we won't judge!

On dogs, please check with the walk leader, but they're usually fine to come along. Assistance dogs are nearly always welcome, but occasionally we may need have a walk where that might be a problem due to where the walk goes, but we'll make what reasonable adjustments we can.

If you want to join, you will need to join the national organisation. You can then optionally join locally, but it's worth signing up as there are numerous benefits.
