London LDWA

Happy Boxing Day!

I do hope that Santa brought you everything you could possibly have wished for, and especially some nice comfy new hiking boots, all ready for the 2018 season (it does sound weird saying "2018" doesn't it?   A bit like science fiction).

If you're contemplating today through the clouds of yesterday's over indulgence, then we have just the thing to help you see the light at the end of the tunnel.   Yes- it's our famous New Year's Day special - the annual Hangover Buster walk brought to you by, in keeping with tradition, by our very own Susanne W.   Read on..

Never a good idea width=

Could this be you?
-then feel better quickly with London LDWA's Hangover buster hike!

This year, Susanne will be taking us on a tour of six of the architect Hawksmoor's most iconic churches - although the walk is NOT the same as the one Susanne led a couple of years ago.   So plenty of new things to see along the way.   If you'd like to go, then down that hair of the dog quickly, and make your way to Russell Square Underground Station for 11.00 on New Year's Day morning.   A great way of breaking in the new boots!

(NB while we are on the subject of this week's walks, please note that unfortunately we have had to cancel Colin's "Pop Up" dawn-to-dusk challenge on Sat 30th.   Though if you'd like to do the walk un-led (and at your own risk) just reply to this email and we can supply you with route notes and a GPX file)

So that's all for now.   Cold mince pies and turkey curry awaits!

Have a great week and all the very best wishes for the New Year from us all at LDWA London.

Adam
