Route

From the Buxton Community School College Road, Buxton ,SK17 9EA. Open to walkers and runners

The 24.5 route is through the Western Peak District, taking in Solomon's Temple, Axe Edge, Goyt Valley, Shining Tor, Lamaload Reservoir, Kettleshulme, Taxal Moor and Fernilee. The route is mostly on fps and tracks and includes some moorland sections with a total ascent of 4,000ft. The 13.2 route also goes via Solomon's Temple and Axe Edge to the Goyt Valley (Errwood Hall) and returns from Fernilee Dam to Buxton

General Notes

Sorry - no dogs allowed. Entries limited to 350. Entry is via SiEntries (www.sientries.co.uk). Entrants must carry/wear full waterproofs, compass, map and a mug. Parking (free) available at the venue. Organised by High Peak LDWA, with assistance from South Manchester LDWA. Closing date is 24th September 2022

15 pounds, non-LDWA 20 pounds includes full route description (using easy-to-follow Wainwright-style maps), refreshments at Cps (one indoor) and hot meal at finish, with a certificate presented to all finishers
