Four members carried out a recce of the route in perfect weather conditions in October:

'We enjoyed a lovely walk around the Stagger route today. Peter’s instructions are very good and our members and marshals are going to enjoy a great day out.'

'Hardly any mud and more field edges, tracks and green lanes and woodland paths than field crossings. Everyone walking the Stagger is in for a treat.'

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
