Celebrating the LDWA's 50th Anniversary and the Big Walk Weekend

Essex and Herts took part in the LDWA Big Walks Weekend with a figure of eight social walk which started from Sawbridgeworth and took in both our counties. 

The morning walk headed westwards into Hertfordshire via the beautiful Pishiobury Park and the old Rivers Nursery.  The afternoon walks took us into Essex following the Three Forests Way and the Harcamlow Way. Both routes returned along the River Stort which is the boundary between the two counties. The lunch stop was back in Sawbridgeworth where there is a lovely churchyard, a park or a choice of pubs.

Thank you to everyone who came and joined us for either a full or half day's walk and helped us to help the LDWA get as many walkers as possible out over the Big Walks Weekend!
