Short evening walk with hopefully a twinkling finale: Hambledon Hill is one of the finest locations to see glow worms. It is also a magical place at dusk. Initially there will be a walk around Hod and Hambledon rings. ONLY if the weather is fair: otherwise rearranged or cancelled. Bring coffee/cake/supper- glow worms should light up when dark. Hence bring a torch and some warmer clothing. 1,500 ft elevation

Although it will be a warm day it can still get chilly on the top of Hambledon Hill late evening -do bring a warm layer.

Glow worms turn on their lights when it becomes dark (there is no guarantee we will see any but I have at this time of year with similar weather conditions). A fully charged torch is essential as it will be dark on the walk back along stoney tracks.

We will remain on the Hill until 1030 (possibly later) and it could be 2330 or even midnight by the time we get back to the carpark. Bring a drink, snacks and something to sit on. Note the revised earlier meeting time of 20.30.
