The celebration of 50 years of the LDWA comes to a conclusion in Dorset next weekend with 3 walks totalling 50 miles if you choose to complete them all (see website for details). Lots of you have made a good start on your challenge to complete 50 miles in 50 days, but only 7 of you have met the total so far, so hopefully many more of you will take the opportunity to complete at least one of the 4 walks on offer over the next week.
The rail strike looks likely to disrupt trains for the linear ‘Poole Harbour Trail - Part 1’ on Saturday, however, there is a bus service ‘Breezer 40’ which provides a suitable alternative. The start of the Saturday walk will be delayed to 09:10 to allow walkers to park their car in Wareham and catch the 08:37 bus from Wareham Rail Station to Poole Rail Station (arrives 09:07). Similarly the start of the Sun walk will be delayed to 09:10 to fit with the arrival of the 08:37 bus from Poole Rail Station to Wareham Rail Station (arrives 09:09).
