Milton Keynes Boundary Walk Part 1 Weasel Lane to Ravenstone - Saturday 18th March 2023

Leader: Gill Bunker
12 walkers

A great day was had by all. We got picked up by the minibus on time and at 830am we were off along the old A421 heading for Stony Stratford for our first T break. We had only been walking for approx 40mins when the path was blocked by a flood, no way round we had to make a detour through a housing estate. It was 3 hours before we got to Stony Stratford for T break. After Tea break we headed through Stony Stratford nature reserve and onto the Grand Union canal. At 2pm we stopped for lunch on the canal where Mary decided she was going to do a bit of yoga with her left leg. (Yes, I did get the photo.} Affter lunch we walked along the canal for a little bit longer then headed across fields heading for Salcey Forest where we stopped for a T break. It rained quite heavily for about 5 mins then stopped and the sun came out with a rainbow before we got to Salcey Forest. Then off we trotted heading for Ravenstone and the cars. We all had a great day. Thanks Gill. I headed for Sams chineese for a chicken takeaway and then to the Horseshoe at Wilby for a couple of pints of Abbot, then home.
