Kirk Yetholm Friends of Nature House, nestling below the picturesque village green, is a former village school that has been offering hostel style accommodation for over 70 years. Located at the start / end of the Pennine Way it is a classic stop and is also ideal for those doing the St. Cuthbert’s Way and for cyclists on the Borderloop Cycle Route or Sustrans Route 84. An ideal base for local day hikes, particularly suited to individuals, families and small groups. Recently upgraded, the house offers a friendly and peaceful retreat after a days exploring the stunning countryside and local heritage. There is a comfortable lounge, a well equipped kitchen, seating for 18 in the dining area and secure bike storage. Evening meals and breakfast are available in adjacent Border Hotel. Well stocked Village Shop and other eateries 10mins walk away. FoN is one of Europe’s oldest environmental groups with 600k members and 800 houses across Europe.
