Accommodation Info

This small, friendly hostel is located within Dartmoor National Park, in the village of Moretonhampstead, 14 miles west of Exeter. Formerly a farm, visitors are accommodated in a beautifully converted stable. High open moorland is close by for great walking, climbing and cycling country. Magnificent Tors, stone circles and burial sites of ancient civilizations together with wild ponies, buzzards, flora and fauna are all here to be explored. There are year round guided talks and walks organised locally and by the National Park. Moretonhampstead village has shops, cafés, pubs, good food, live music, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and footpaths leading to the open moors. Easily accessible by public transport, on the Dartmoor Way route, and CTC End to End. There is a secure place for your bikes. This hostel aims to be environmentally alert and has a dedicated policy of  recycling waste.
